Bruce Lourie, PhD, President

Bruce is a best-selling author, policy expert, social entrepreneur and award-winning global sustainability leader. In addition to President of the Ivey Foundation, he is a Senior Fellow of the Smith School of Business and Adjunct Professor of the School of Policy Studies, at Queen’s University, and guest lecturer at the Said Business School Social Finance Program, University of Oxford. Bruce initiated the largest climate action in North America (phasing-out coal in Ontario), and co-authored two books on plastics, toxins and human health including the international best-seller Slow Death by Rubber Duck.

Andrea Moffat, Vice President

Andrea has more than 20 years of experience managing environment and sustainability issues in the public, private, investment and non-government sectors in Canada and the U.S. Prior to Ivey, Andrea was the Vice-President of the Corporate Program at Ceres, where she led Ceres’ work with more than 80 companies on sustainability issues including climate, energy, water, and supply chains. She was the lead author of The 21st Century Corporation: The Ceres Roadmap for Sustainability and corporate benchmarking reports based on this framework. She is a skilled facilitator of action-oriented initiatives and collaborations between the private sector, government and non-for-profit organizations.

Lorne Johnson, Vice President

Lorne has more than 20 years of experience in forging collaborative solutions to sustainability challenges in Canada. He has established a reputation as someone who brings enthusiasm, humour and a solid dose of pragmatism while getting things done. Early in his career, Lorne played a leadership role in establishing the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) in Canada including facilitating stakeholder negotiations for several regional standards processes, serving as a board member and chair, and acting as the Executive Director while overseeing the redesign of the organization’s business strategy and revenue model.

Faye Cao, Accounting Manager

Faye joined the Ivey Foundation in 2013 after holding accounting positions in the private, public and non-profit sectors. Faye has been an accountant with an Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and Health Canada agency. She was a financial officer for the Institute for Christian Studies, University of Toronto, an administrator with Intact Holdings Inc. and volunteered as an accounting and finance consultant with the Campaign for Action On Tobacco. Faye holds an Accounting Diploma and CPA from the Toronto Business School, and a B.Sc. from Chinese Academy of Science and Technology in China.
